As a Healthcare ETL Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions and strategies. Your responsibilities will include data collection, analysis, interpretation, and transformation, helping stakeholders understand complex datasets to make informed choices and optimize performance

Primary Responsibilities:

The Healthcare ETL Analyst will execute data pipelines, analyze transformed data to validate its completeness and gather insight to impact business decisions. They will be responsible for timely delivery of data to downstream partners, managing multiple tickets simultaneously and addressing roadblocks associated with ETL process. Additionally, the analyst will handle ad hoc analysis request-related data surrounding Medical Record retrieval to assist in determining the location of medical charts.

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency

  • Identify and address data quality issues, outliers, and missing values

  • Complete Data Ingestion and QA process in accordance with Service Level Agreements

  • Manage Multiple tickets for data ingestion simultaneously

  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and relationships within datasets

  • Oversee ingestion pipelines and troubleshoots errors related to data. Resolve errors using approved data cleaning techniques

  • Translate complex data analysis into clear and actionable insights for stakeholders

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and strategic decision-making

  • Develops and maintains solid relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

  • Document analysis methodologies, assumptions, and findings for future reference and replication

  • Requires an individual to maintain the ability to work in an environment with PHI / PII data

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience managing healthcare data ingestion platforms

  • 2+ years working experience writing intermediate to advanced SQL (joining many tables, SQL functions, CTE's)

  • 1+ years of experience working with tools like Snowflake, Jupiter, or Airflow

  • Experience working with Python (Ability to read and understand Python scripts and ability to make adjustments to scripts)

  • Knowledge of Data Analysis and Data Quality best practices

  • Proficient in Excel (v-look ups, pivot tables)

  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

  • Proven ability and willingness to work occasional weekend and/or evening work

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Understanding of Data Pipelines, database structures and ETL practices

  • Knowledge of Healthcare data including member, claims, and provider data

  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices related to Medical Record Retrieval

  • Knowledge of Data Quality best practices

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
