Job Description
This role will be involved with the kidney program – from collection from the kill floor through the decellularization process.
Responsibilities
Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware and supplies using autoclaves or ethylene oxide gas sterilizer
Build bioreactors and tubing sets according to supplied diagrams and standard operating procedures
Maintain stock of glassware and supplies in the clean room
Read, understand, and follow all SOPs as trained and communicate any non-conformance to supervisor
Ensure compliance with documentation and logbook standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Execute the routine housekeeping of the work and storage areas to maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Monitor inventory of supplies in the sterile prep room and clean room storage room
Document equipment use, cleaning, and routine maintenance in associated logs
Essential Skills
Familiarity working in a lab and following SOPs
Experience with sterilization and aseptic techniques
Knowledge of sample preparation, GMP, autoclaves, and biology
Additional Skills & Qualifications
HS diploma minimum. Will accept Associate's or Bachelor's degreed candidates
Tissue experience is a major bonus
Work Environment
Work in a dynamic and collaborative environment with a 'work hard, play hard' culture, including frequent team outings. Shift: Monday-Friday, 1st shift hours.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
