Emerson Associate Software Developer in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

If you are a software professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! This is a hybrid work opportunity based in our Eden Prairie, MN location. In this role you will assist in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career developers to grow their skills and contribute to enterprise-scale software projects.

As an Associate Software Developer, you will:

  • Collaborate with senior developers, Product Owners, and team members to understand project requirements and design specifications.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Node.js, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Cosmos.

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions about best practices and technology choices.

  • Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing existing applications.

  • Test and deploy applications and systems, ensuring functionality and performance.

  • Document development processes, code changes, and application functionality.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance skills and contribute to team growth.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Node.js, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Cosmos

  • Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)

  • Basic knowledge of databases and SQL

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure), version control systems (e.g. Git) is plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
