DEPARTMENT: PROPERTIES

LOCATION: GENERAL OFFICE EAU CLAIRE, WI

REPORTS TO: PROPERTIES MANAGER

TRAVEL REQUIRED? APPROXIMATELY 2 – 4 DAYS PER WEEK

POSITIONS SUPERVISED:NONE

WAGE RANGE: $65,000 - $80,000/ YEAR

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Midwest Home Improvement Company is looking for a Construction Project Manager to oversee new store and remodel development projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and construction; while also applying their creativity to the projects. The Construction Project Manager’s career is to oversee each project from conception to finish; working with construction professionals along the way to completion of the project.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Work from the start of each project thru completion, to direct project scope and vision

· Oversee new and remodel project; including change order negotiations, material orders and design evaluations

· Create the schedule for each project and match talent to the job; including coordination and communication with store management to insure little disruption to store activity

· Collaborate with the architect and construction crew to ensure feasibility of each project

· Prepare and submit project estimations

Skills/Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Engineering or related field of study

OR

Combination of on the job experience and education in a related field of study

· Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets

· Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment

· Strong computer knowledge; specially Microsoft Word and Excel

· Excellent organizational, communication and detail skills

· Must work within designated normal office hours – Monday-Friday, 50 hours/week – at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI

Travel required - approximately 2-4 days per week
