Function as an intermediary between performance data and end users. Responsible for providing direction and accountability for data quality management (profiling, rules, flows, monitoring, etc.) to ensure data integrity. Serves as an expert resource and is responsible for supporting clinical integration activities by leading efforts with leadership, practices, and providers. Design and code functional programs and applications. Ability to write “clean” and flawless code to produce fully functional software applications according to requirements.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs and/or constructs efficient application modules, reports, displays, databases, dashboards, and interfaces for projects of all complexities.

  • Understands client requirements and how they translate into application features.

  • Ability to write high-quality source code to program complete applications with deadlines.

  • Design prototypes according to specifications.

  • Conducts functional and non-functional testing.

  • Detail-oriented with an ability to quickly identify and solve programming errors.

  • In collaboration with IT, idefines, develops, and implements software interfaces and other means of capturing data electronically as well as the processes necessary to aggregate data.

  • In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools.

  • Independently acquires knowledge of tools, software, hardware, and protocols and uses them efficiently.

  • Develop and maintain relevant data models for use across the organization.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/Entity and the proper release of information.

  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.

  • Demonstrates/models the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).

  • Demonstrates Performance Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at time; standing for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; walking for up to 2 hours a day, 1 hour at a time. Requires crouching, kneeling, and lifting objects weighing up to 20 pounds, pushing objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Requires hand and finger dexterity. Seeing as it relates to general, near, color, and peripheral vision. Hearing as it relates to normal and telephone conversations.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business, or 10 years equivalent experience in a technical environment.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Epic Certification required. Strong knowledge of Transact-SQL (T-SQL) required. Experience with Tableau and Crystal Reports preferred. Working knowledge of clinical terminology is preferred. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and work with healthcare data and reporting is strongly preferred
