Summary of Position: The Accountant is responsible for supporting the Senior Accountant in accounting and administrative processing. This role involves assisting in monitoring financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, and verifying information. The Accountant works alongside the Senior Accountant to support the accounting department functions, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting.

Job Duties:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• Review cash flow for rolling 3 months
• Monitor payables trends and expense ratios, including past due payments
• Assist in supervising and reviewing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Review purchasing patterns and expenses with the Purchasing Manager
• Prepare KPI metrics for management review, including ROI, wage analysis, and expense analysis
• Support manufacturing teams on annual labor grade, overhead expenses, and machine rates
• Reconcile the company's bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
• Complete analysis of employee expenditures
• Manage income and expenditure accounts
• Generate financial reports using income and expenditure data
• Monitor the company's finances based on financial status
• File and remit taxes and other financial obligations
• Manage financial and accounting software used by the company
• Assist in preparing financials for an outside accounting firm

Position Requirements:

• 1-2 years' preferred experience
• Knowledge of GAAP
• General ledger reconciliation
• Accounts Payable/Receivable (A/P/R)
• Account reconciliation

Physical Demands:

• Normal office environment
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pound
