Position summary T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr Engineers, Systems Architecture located in Bellevue, WA will work independently with a team of analysts to identify new credit segmentation opportunities using statistical methods leading to enhancements to our credit decision process and policies, collections strategies, and fraud strategies. Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and evolve technical network and service architectures and design strategies to maintain, enhance, and evolve the T-Mobile Technology portfolio. Understand Charging Function architecture, protocols, how Charging System operate and Network Provisioning flows. Responsible for feasibility studies, designing and optimizing of Ericsson Charging system and Network Provisioning Applications, and interacting with marketing teams, vendors, and other T-Mobile teams in shaping product requirements. Sets overall new Offer architecture direction and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards. Contribute to drafting and grooming of capabilities and how to bundle/sequence them for delivery. Drive integration, deployment and service validation of Online Charging System and Provisioning network elements using automation, DevOps, Continous Integration and Continuous deployment (CI/CD) in the TMUS lab and production charging/metering network. Provide technical leadership for engineering designs based on T-Mobile Marketing initiatives and translate complex technical issues in terms of business impact and business benefits. Review existing systems architecture, design strategies, standards, and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete existing workload more effectively through industry perspectives. Perform, evaluate, interpret network simulation, test results, and leading-edge technology studies. Create appropriate validation tests and inspection techniques and effectively documents results. Contribute to designs to implement new ideas which improve an existing and new system/process/service and seek opportunities to improve designs, processes, or product by reducing cost, improving efficiency, or quality. Collaborate with technical teams and utilizes system expertise to deliver technical solutions. Contribute to the development of others through mentoring or in house workshops and learning sessions. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. Skill requirements: (1) Designing and implementing 5G Core network functions on a cloud native container based micro services architecture utilizing Docker, Kubernetes and Kafka. (2) Designing and architecting Business critical offers, rating and provisioning solutions using Python, SQL, REST, SOAP and JSON for complex customer facing Online Charging Systems and core network elements based on Functional Requirement Document (FRD) from business team. (3) Applying 4G or 5G wireless core network infrastructure and network call flow experience to create test scripts, analyze network traffic using WireShark and Netscout, and drive design optimization in core network elements including provisioning, charging/rating and mediation.
