Job Summary
.The role is responsible for developing and implementing the quality strategy to satisfy customers with a high-quality and reliable product and be responsive to any quality issues for all Traction products. The position will ensure that the organization maintains high-quality standards, meets customer expectations, and drives quality excellence on a global scale.Job Description
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement global quality strategies to ensure adherence to high-quality standards and to meet customer expectations.
- Build processes in partnership with the functions to identify trends reported through our quality system and optimize our capacity to identify root causes, implement permanent corrective actions, and improve service levels.
- Manage quality initiatives in partnership with the Engineering, Technical Support, Customer Service, and Sales teams and operations through systematic methods.
- Lead a results-orientated process demonstrating continuous improvement whilst meeting the needs of the customer and the business.
- Develop and deploy best practices to improve first-pass yield rates while reducing PPM defect rates.
- Provide accurate and timely reports as required by Motion/Traction leadership.
- Provide leadership and support for customer quality issues and take corrective actions through root cause analysis.
- Work with the Site Manager to explore new methods of quality improvement improvements.
- Collaborate with other functions to ensure the entire organization has sufficient knowledge and capability for quality management and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Create, develop, and deploy an organizational construct to drive process consistency and accountability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent as required. Electric motor or electronics major is preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive quality management experience in industrial manufacturing, CMQ/OE certification is desirable, including 5 years of management experience at least.
- Strong business acumen and a proven track record of quality management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, coaching, and the ability to motivate people.
- Must be a highly results-oriented and customer-focused individual.
- Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel.

Range:$139K-$200K DOE
