This Associate Director role resides within the Carrier Replacement Components (RC) business and is responsible for overall management of residential and light commercial (RLC) parts. The primary focus will be to innovate/think outside of the box to grow the RLC portion of the RC business. This role will lead acceleration of RLC sales growth by developing aftermarket parts strategies based on the HVAC units we provide our customers. Additional focus will be on profitability/growth on sales to existing distribution as well as new channels. This role will work closely with sales, aftermarket engineering, sourcing and planning to launch innovative aftermarket solutions meeting customer needs to support double digit growth.

The successful candidate will possess balanced knowledge of the technical aspects of the RLC products, business, and marketing. Foundational skills for this role include project management, public speaking, people leadership, and/or sales and general business management skills. Candidate should be motivated, a self-starter, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment in either Syracuse, NY, Charlotte, NC, Indianapolis, IN offices or remote if exceptionally qualified.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage execution of short and long-term parts strategy and operational direction for the RLC business segment within RC.

  • Cross-functional collaboration with both Replacement Components staff and commercial product teams to ensure the critical/service parts are available at new product & key initiative introductions.

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover new opportunities, collaborating with sales teams to translate insights into compelling customer value propositions and actionable sales strategies. Work collaboratively across the RC organization achieve business goals, including sales and product forecasts, pricing, gross margin analysis, and assisting with the execution of go-to-market strategy.

  • Provide support and training to RC Sales team to support new, unique and different selling strategies to support the RLC parts business.

  • Clearly articulates RC strategy and value propositions at public speaking events such as distributor, contractor, and sales meetings.

  • Provide leadership and development to a team of direct reports for the continued growth of product management talent and talent pipeline creation.

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 8 + years of combined work experience in HVAC engineering and/or product management, product marketing and/or quality.

  • 3+ years of people leadership experience

  • Strong ability to lead, influence and develop diverse, cross-functional project teams to achieve high-performance levels in a dynamic, changing environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle difficult/complex situations spanning across multiple sites, geographies, vendor, and customers.

  • Ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.

  • Previous experience in product management platform or aftermarket business.

  • Passion for servicing customers. Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, provide quality solutions, and go above and beyond to exceed their expectations.

  • A clear understanding of basic marketing principles.

  • Previous experience working with engineering and business/sales.

  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Pay Range:

$133,319 - $232,919 Annually
