A fantastic client is looking for a Senior Contracts Administrator to join their team. In this role, you will review contracts, monitor compliance with contractual obligations, manage complex proposals, and finalize various government and commercial contracts.

Candidates must have experience with military and government contracts, along with knowledge of ITAR regulations. Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.

responsibilities:

  • Review contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with terms.

  • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and government regulations.

  • Manage complex proposals and finalize various government and military contracts.

  • Ensure government contracts comply with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant regulations.

  • Participate in the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to execution and renewal or termination.

  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks by reviewing terms and conditions.

  • Collaborate with internal departments such as quality, operations, and engineering to gather necessary information and align contract terms with business needs.

  • Facilitate effective communication among all parties involved in the contract process.

  • Play a key role in meetings with customers and internal departments regarding contracts.

  • Ensure proper storage and maintenance of all contracts under company policies and legal requirements.

  • Monitor and track contract performance, including key dates, obligations, and deliverables.

  • Prepare reports and summaries on contract status and performance for senior management.

  • Develop and implement best practices for contract management processes specific to government contracts.

  • Supervise or guide junior employees as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration, focusing on commercial, military, and government contract experience.

  • Knowledge of ITAR regulations is essential.

  • In-depth understanding of contract administration principles, industry practices, regulations, and policies.

  • strong knowledge of government contract law, including FAR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with an MRP system.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Must be a u.s. citizen or permanent resident, in compliance with ITAR requirements.

  • Manufacturing industry experience is a plus

  • D management credentials (e.g., Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)) are a plus.
