Adecco US, Inc. CNC Lathe Machinist in East Providence, Rhode Island

Adecco is currently recruiting for a CNC Operator to work 8AM to 4:30 PM Monday thru Friday in Providence Area, Rhode Island.

This position can be filled as either permanent direct hire (no temp period), or on a temp-to-hire basis depending on candidate experience and preference. Pay rate is TBD.

CNC Lathe Machinist Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare CNC lathes for operation by setting up and calibrating machines according to technical specifications and production requirements. This includes installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.

  2. Operate CNC lathes to perform precision machining operations, including turning, drilling, and threading, on a variety of materials such as metals and plastics.

  3. Perform regular inspections of finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.

  4. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC lathes to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.

  5. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  6. Maintain accurate records of production runs, setups, and any issues encountered. Document any changes made to programs or machine settings.

  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist with proven setup skills (programming beneficial)

  • Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC lathes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Familiarity with G-code programming is a plus.

  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and machining tools.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve machine issues efficiently.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in machining operations and inspections.

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field is preferred.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $28.00 per week
