Job Title: Federal Contracts Manager, Kroeschell Facility Services

Location: East Peoria, IL

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: The Federal Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing federal contracting activities, including identifying business opportunities, managing proposal development, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. This role requires a background in government contracting, facility management, and business development. The Federal Contracts Manager will also provide remote oversight and accountability for facility management contracts throughout the Unites States. This is a salaried position with typical working hours of 8am-4pm central time, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

Market Analysis: Analyze market trends to identify potential federal contracting opportunities and assess the competitive landscape.

Business Development: Develop strategies to acquire new federal contracts and expand relationships with government agencies.

Proposal Management: Develop proposals to ensure they meet federal requirements and company standards.

Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with government officials, prime contractors, and industry partners.

Strategic Planning: Formulate and implement strategic plans to achieve business development objectives.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal regulations, policies, and procedures in all contracting activities. Maintain current SAM and GSA registrations and reporting.

Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on business development activities, contract status, and market trends to senior management.

Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to support contract execution.

Networking: Represent the company at industry events to stay informed on trends and expand professional networks.

Remote Oversight: Monitor Facility Management contracts remotely to ensure performance and compliance.

Small Business Collaboration: Collaborate with small businesses to enhance growth opportunities and meet small business subcontracting goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred.

Technical writing skill is a strong plus.

Project management experience is a strong plus.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in government contracting, facility management, and business development.

Knowledge of federal procurement processes and regulations.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

Proficient contract management skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

Candidate must be able to read, write, and speak English

Candidate must be a United States citizen

Candidate must be willing to travel up to 25%

Candidate must possess a valid Drivers License

Candidate may be required to stand/walk for prolonged periods

Candidate must pass drug screen and background check and qualify to gain access to Federal installations
