Transportation Research Center, Inc. Engineering Manager in East Liberty, Ohio

Job Duties: Facilitate day-to-day engineering operations of the Advanced Mobility Department with staff of 15-25 Project Mangers, Engineers, and Technicians. Provide manager-level review and approval to the Test & Validation, and Research & Analysis departments, including items such as proposals, requisitions, personnel actions, individual development plans, project/test plans, travel expense reports, project deliverables, and time entries. Coordinate resources and resolve challenges within Advanced Mobility and broader organization. Represent Advanced Mobility in organizational committees, leadership meetings and in public venues (conferences, trade shows and media). Lead large proposal development efforts and remedy at-risk projects/proposals. Support organizational functions including: personnel actions, budget development and tracking, pricing, and policy/process development and implementation. Lead the development of long-term strategy and goals for engineering teams. Develop and cultivate relationships between Advanced Mobility and key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Serve as first point of escalation for project/client/department needs. Support onboarding of new employees through training on general operational activities. Position involves a hybrid work schedule both Work from Office (East Liberty, OH) and Work from Home.  Requirements: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field, plus 4 years of experience with automotive testing and research, automated driving, and vehicle connectivity, gained before, during or after Master's degree.
