Technically, you understand application development environments, applications deployment processes and industry standard automation tools like Terraform and Ansible. You have experience working with cloud environments like Azure and AWS and you have recent and direct experience working with DevOps tools and GitOps in a fast-paced Agile environment. Personally, you are knowledgeable and curious. You love digging into modern technologies and figuring out how to incorporate what they offer into the organization's daily operations to improve efficiency and employee experience. You understand different people have unique needs to be productive and you strive to develop and deliver self-service-oriented solutions. Professionally, the DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with development and engineering teams to implement, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines. This role will streamline development processes, optimize operations through automation, and ensure a seamless developer experience. The ideal candidate possesses a growth mindset, prioritizing understanding over mere functionality. Experience in hybrid cloud environments, proficiency with automation tools and the ability to reconcile diverse developer needs are essential. Work Location - This position is a remote, hybrid (combination of working both onsite at the Headquarters 2 building in East Lansing and remotely), or onsite role. A schedule of expected onsite and remote work days will be discussed during the interview process. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm Eastern Standard Time An offer of employment with MSU Federal Credit Union and affiliates is contingent upon the agreed work arrangement (onsite/hybrid/remote) and work location. Compensation & Benefits: Salary Range: $85,000-110,000+ dependent on experience 100% Company-Paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Long-Term Disability Premiums Up to 26 days of PTO within your first year, as well as Volunteer Time Off & 11 Paid Holidays 401(k) with an immediate 2:1 Match Tuition Reimbursement Up to 12 Weeks of Paid Parental Leave Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with development and engineering teams to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery. Streamline development processes by automating manual tasks and integrating automated testing and deployment processes. Optimize operations through infrastructure as code (IaC) principles, using tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration. Ensure a seamless developer experience by reconciling differing needs and requirements, providing effective solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration. Document detailed service designs and troubleshooting processes for peers and general IT staff. Write, develop, and manage code to facilitate development, code deployment and infrastructure automation workflows. Support and enhance existing source code management and infrastructure automation platforms. Support organization's container infrastructure platform. Collaborate with other teams on effective utilization coverage, tool feature management, and expansion of resources as required. Champion and build automated processes wherever feasible. Provide input in technical decision-making involving systems and tools used to automate and deploy applications and infrastructure. Understand and work within parameters of existing IT change management process. Participate in a weekly 24/7 on-call rotation. Collaborate synchronously and asynchronously with a distributed team.
