Need 12 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers to work in East Grand Forks, MN. From: 09/01/2024 - 06/22/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. All work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. ESST (Earned Sick and Safe Time) Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. JOB DUTIES: Unload potatoes by truck at facility. Inspect incoming potatoes during harvest and remove dirt and debris and assist in operating packing equipment. Inspect and sort potatoes in 3, 5, 10, 15, 20- and 50-pound bags and ship them out. Stack pound bags on pallets and in bins. Shrink wrap stacked pallets. Drive truck in field and under harvester. Operate bin piler to pile incoming potatoes in bins. Clean the plant and equipment. JOB REQUIREMENTS: three (3) months experience; able to lift 50 lbs.; Class D (regular) driver's license; Job requires repetitive movements; Post hire drug test at no cost to the employees to enforce a drug free workplace: failing a drug test will result in termination; Repetitive movements; no minimum education required. Mechanical skills are beneficial to this position. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers from employer provided housing. Daily transportation at no cost to workers is available to workers who do not reside in employer-provided housing. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. All work related tools, equipment and supplies will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
