We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Associate to join our operations team at our Oak Hill facility. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-speed production environment, supporting the movement and handling of materials critical to the production of oral healthcare products. As part of our team, you will ensure that raw materials, components, and finished goods are efficiently received, stored, and distributed in support of production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management & Material Handling:
Receive and label inbound inventory shipments; put them away in the warehouse.
Generate picklists, update the Prism system with applicable transactions, and pull inventory to support production schedules.
Pull and stage outbound orders, load pallets, and prepare shipments.
Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
Warehouse Organization:
Conduct daily safety checks of equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) in accordance with established procedures.
Coordinate material availability for shifts, utilizing the Material Tracking System (Prism) to optimize warehouse space.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, removing waste, consolidating products, and sweeping the area as necessary.
Log and deliver non-inventory items within the facility.
Operational Excellence:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Standard Work, Performance Management, etc.).
Suggest and contribute to process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
Adhere to cGMP guidelines and follow SOPs during all tasks.
Communication & Documentation:
Input data into material tracking systems and effectively search for relevant information.
Communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments (Manufacturing, Packaging, Quality) to ensure material flow and availability.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with safety guidelines and quality standards.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
3-5 years of recent experience working in a fast-paced, high-speed production or manufacturing environment.
Experience in material handling, using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Prior knowledge of GMP and experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to operate electric pallet jacks or forklifts.
Proficient in using computer systems (Prism, MTS, DCS) for data entry and material tracking.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform basic math calculations (e.g., percentages, fractions, and decimals).
Demonstrated attention to detail, with accurate record-keeping.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and overtime.
Flexibility in shift assignments and willingness to train others.
Ability to learn new tasks and responsibilities quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
A 2-year technical degree (Mechanical or Machine Maintenance-related) is preferred.
Previous experience with machine changeovers and hand tools is strongly preferred.
Experience with PRISM and/or DCS software is an advantage.
Pay Details: $24.75 per hour
