Description

• Work closely with various teams to ensure procurement aligns with production requirements.

• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and service agreements with suppliers.

• Contribute to strategic planning and cost-saving initiatives.

• Source and develop new suppliers to maintain a competitive edge and reduce risk.

• Establish and enforce procurement policies in line with regulations and company standards.

• Assess bids, select suppliers, and manage contracts effectively.

• Oversee inventory levels and refine procurement processes to cut costs and boost efficiency.

• Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting procurement.

• Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

• Resolve procurement-related issues or disputes promptly.

• Perform additional duties as required.

  Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in purchasing within a food manufacturing environment, with a preference for perishable goods.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.

Skills:

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
