MISO Energy Corporate Counsel in Eagan, Minnesota

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Engage in the MISO stakeholder process to address regulatory and compliance matters.

  • Prepare and file regulatory documents, including FERC filings.

  • Work closely with internal subject matter experts to identify and mitigate legal risks.

  • Provide legal advice on the MISO Tariff and related regulations.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to respond to inquiries and provide strategic counsel.

  • Contribute to other duties as assigned, supporting the overall legal and regulatory strategy.

We are looking for people who have….

  • Must be licensed to practice law in one of the following states: Indiana, Arkansas, Minnesota, or Washington, DC.

  • Expertise in administrative agency litigation and familiarity with appellate procedures.

  • Knowledge of the electric or natural gas industries is a plus.

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.

Education

Required

  • Doctorate or better in Law (JD)

Experience

Required

  • 3-5 years: experience as a practicing attorney, with a strong preference for experience in federal energy regulations.
