Job Summary:The primary duties of the Technical Project Manager I is to facilitate technical communication, collaboration and coordination amongst the Production Engineering Disciplines and related project stakeholders regarding the designs of Power Generation and Switchgear products produced at our manufacturing facilities. These activities are to provide guidance and assurance that our equipment is being designed and built and/or applied per engineering documents, manufacturing standards, and our UL and other required code standards. Our main goal is for the safety, quality, functionality, and overall conformity of the products being manufactured at both locations and ensuring that the equipment is properly sized, selected and installed per industry expectations.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills): • 2+ years of industry experience in an engineering/design centric environment• 4-year BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (will consider equivalent experience)• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus.• Detail-oriented and accurate.• Have a positive can-do attitude and the ability to transfer knowledge through various communication mediums.• Hands-on: willing to get your hands dirty for the benefit of the team and to further our overall goals of scalable manufacturing and engineering practices. The successful candidate will actively participate in the design and manufacturing process. • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including collaborating with other teams and providing constructive feedback. • Ability to critically analyze problems and develop effective resolutions. • Excellent time management, organizing, and prioritizing skills.• Be able to travel occasionally (20%)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:• Act as single point of contact between the Production Engineering team and other project stakeholders such as Manufacturing, Construction, Procurement, and Applications Engineering.• Work closely with the Microgrid Engineering disciplines, scheduling coordination meetings, design reviews, and establishing internal design schedules and milestones for various Product Development or high visibility projects as directed by project management and leadership. • Coordinate closely and daily with the Production Engineering teams for the engineering and documentation of the systems as defined in the construction scope, record drawings, and product specifications.• Conduct design reviews on deliverables such as BOMs, drawings, and submittals prior to release – Final QA signoff prior to release.• Support the creation and enforcement of a design management process.• Support test, commissioning, and service departments with prompt communication and problem resolution.• Identify and execute processes that may reduce the overall cost to manufacture, install and operate our mechanical infrastructure systems in our Power Generation and Switchgear Products.• Serve as the main point of contact for other project stakeholders with the engineering team.• Confirm and review construction drawings with the project team and bring concerns to EPC and/or Operations team in a timely fashion to mitigate any potential delays if there’s conflicting or incomplete information. • Coordinate and communicate with other engineering groups, sales, and operations. Be an active participant in and/or facilitate project meetings including handoff, release review, and design meetings as required with the necessary stakeholders. • If made aware of long lead material, notify appropriate personnel.• Ensure schedules and milestone dates are achieved in the ERP system. Provide feedback to the Engineering Manager if issues arise.• Review drawing packages prior to release to ensure necessary components to complete required scope of work are present.• Coordinate with engineering/production scheduling on engineering capacity to communicate accurate lead times to the greater project team. • Monitor project hour accrual and earned value against engineering project budgets and schedules to ensure overages are flagged early and change order opportunities are identified. • Report out weekly and monthly on key/high visibility project status.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in front of screens for extended periods.

For the most part, the work environment includes ambient room temperatures, well-lit work areas and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. Office environment with shared spaces. Occasional Manufacturing and site visits may be required.Primarily office environment with exception for occasional Manufacturing and site visits.
