We are currently looking for a Mechanical Technician for building design with a positive, hands-on, collaborative work style to join our Durham, NC office to elevate our engineering capabilities and further grow dynamic Engineering Studios in every office of Little. Experience should include most of the following project types: civic/government, financial services, retail, high tech/R&D, healthcare, office, interior renovation, higher education, and/or education projects.

A position you’ll love:

  • Collaborating with our architects and other engineers to complete projects; and

  • Using your passion for innovative design, problem-solving, and critical thinking on a variety of project types.

  • Assisting with the preparation of mechanical construction documents for various project types.

Candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • You are curious and creative, have a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking, and able to collaborate in a team setting

  • 0-2+ years of professional experience. (2 years preferred)

  • Revit certification from Autodesk or similar program

  • Strong proficiency with Revit (AutoCAD a plus) to generate construction documents

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Two year degree in an Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.

Little is made up of Architects, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineers, Land Planners, Landscape Architects & Civil Engineers, Interior Designers, Graphic Designers, CAFM & Strategic Planners and Digital Imaging and Animation specialists. Our other offices are in Charlotte NC, Charleston, SC: Newport Beach CA, Washington DC, and Orlando FL.
