Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Intake Specialist Remote to North Carolina. As an Intake Specialist, your role will be vital in processing various requests, inquiries, and transactions through different channels. You will also be responsible for reviewing requests to ensure accuracy, supporting both internal and external customers, and documenting pertinent information related to each interaction.
Responsibilities:
• Take and manage 75 to 100 inbound calls daily from members, pharmacies, and providers regarding pharmacy authorizations
• Accurately process customer requests, inquiries, and transactions via phone, email, fax, and mail
• Maintain and update service requests, ensuring the accuracy of data
• Efficiently multi-task and work within multiple programs and on multiple screens
• Provide clinical review outcome notification to members and providers
• Verify member benefits and eligibility and/or provider setup
• Screen inquiries to determine if authorization is required
• Conduct peer audits monthly as required
• Utilize resources effectively to find the necessary answers
• Provide support to internal and external customers via phone or email
• Analyze data to provide feedback to Team Leads on employee development needs and/or specific providers requiring education on prior approval or pre-certification process
• Troubleshoot issues raised by pharmacies
• Ensure a stable broadband internet connection with a minimum internet speed of 1Mbps upload and 6Mbps download directly connected to a router with an ethernet cable.

Requirements
Must Have a HS diploma/GED and THREE years of relative experience
Must possess strong training skills to educate team members and clients
• Ability to answer inbound calls professionally and efficiently
• Proficiency in research skills to gather and analyze data
• Experience in dealing with external customers and ensuring their satisfaction
• Knowledge of call center operations and ability to ensure smooth functioning
