Ansible Government Solutions Hematology and Oncology Registered Nurse in Durham, North Carolina

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions (Ansible) subsidiary Titan-Auxo, LLC is currently recruiting multiple Hematology and Oncology Registered Nurse(s) to support telehealth services for the Durham VA Healthcare System in Durham, NC. Working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30 pm EST. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities

  • Creating individualized care plans for patients.

  • Assisting patients in finding supportive resources regarding their treatment and personal care needs.

  • Providing virtual patient education to help them understand their diagnosis and treatment.

  • Documenting patient progress.

  • Charting the patient's response to medications and other treatments.

  • Process incoming consults by assigned team and subspecialty diagnoses: Staff(s) shall follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) titled Team Consult Care Coordinator Registered Nurse (CCRN) Procedures, CLO 201, dated 5/22/2024 to handle all incoming consults to the assigned team. 

  • Communication with the supervisor: Staff(s) shall notify the nurse manager on the same day if, the required time frame in SOP CLO 201 cannot be met.  

  • Process individual view alerts in CPRS: Staff(s) shall process view alerts no later than seven (7) days from the date they were created.  

  • Customer Service: Staff(s) shall consistently demonstrate Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, and Excellence (ICARE) values.

Qualifications

  • Ability to successfully undergo a Government sponsored background investigation (US Citizenship Required)

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program, college, or university and hold a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any State; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred

  • Experience with RN activities in providing hematology/oncology care for a minimum of 2 years

  • Experience with genetics 

  • Prior experience providing telehealth services

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified

  • Familiarity with medical terminology, hospital terminology and/or clinics.

  • Technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government's requirements; will be provided training by the VA on appointment management, VA policy and procedures.

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift

  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist

  • Lift up to 20 lbs

  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance

  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
