Primary Function of Organizational Unit
North Carolina Central University (NCCU is a Historically Black College or

majors in Accounting, Business Management (Finance, Human Resources,
Marketing, Management, Real Estate, and Entrepreneurship) Computer
Information Systems, Information Technology (Data Analytics, Cyber
Security, and Information Communications Technology), and Hospitality
& Tourism Administration. We offer BBA and MBA degrees within the
School of Business. Our Program is accredited by AACSB, considered the gold
standard. NCCU’S School of Business has an enrollment of over 1,200
students in its undergraduate and graduate programs. The department
has faculty members who have published in peer-reviewed journals.

Primary Purpose of Position
The School of Business at North Carolina Central University invite applicants
for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance/Personal Finance. Teach 4
courses per year in personal finance/finance and directing the Peggy Ward
Financial Education Center. The qualified candidate must have earned a
Ph.D. in Personal Finance/Finance or a related field from an AACSB
accredited program or equally relevant accredited program i a related
discipline. Candidates with a Master degree and significant working
experience in the personal finance area will be considered. Faculty will
engage students in the study of operations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in
personal finance and finance. Faculty will engage students in the study of
operations problems, including the application of quantitative analysis
and with computer applications. While the School’s primary focus is
teaching, maintenance of academic qualifications includes the continuous
scholarly productivity in discipline-related quality journals. Service activities
include selected committee assignments at the departmental, School,
and/or University levels. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal
communication skills, effective problem solving , diplomacy, and
leadership skills; demonstrated ability to work as a team and develop
productive working relationships with multiple stakeholders; a
commitment to overall high standards and professional integrity.
Minimum Education/Experience
The qualified candidate must have an earned Ph.D. in Personal Finance/Finance
or a related field from an AACSB accredited program or equally relevant
accredited program in a related discipline. Candidates with a Master degree
and significant working experience in the personal finance area will be
considered.
Licenses or Certification required by Statute or Regulation
