Job Description

The Automation Engineer is responsible for supporting the validation of automation systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role focuses on developing, reviewing, and managing validation protocols and handling change control processes to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and industry regulations.

Must-haves

• GMP Documentation Experience: Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) documentation, with the ability to assist in creating, reviewing, and managing documentation for automation systems.

• Validation Protocols: Experience or exposure to drafting, reviewing, and executing validation protocols to ensure that automation systems comply with regulatory and industry requirements.

• Change Control Management: Familiarity with managing and documenting change control processes within automated systems, ensuring all changes are controlled and compliant.

Hard Skills

• Experience or familiarity with automation validation and GMP compliance.

• Ability to work with validation protocols and manage change control processes.

• Basic knowledge of automation systems with a focus on maintaining compliance through documentation and validation efforts.

Work Environment

The workweek is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. With an hour lunch break.

40 hours per week. Anything over that is booked as overtime.

This position is based at a customer site in Durham, NC.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Durham, North Carolina.

Day-to-day

The Automation Engineer will develop and manage validation protocols, ensuring that all control systems meet GMP and industry standards. The role involves working with internal teams and clients to manage change controls, document updates, and ensure the compliance of automation systems throughout the project lifecycle. This position is fully on-site with standard hours.
