City Of Durango Recreation Technician in Durango, Colorado

Recreation Technician.

Duties: As a Recreation Technician, you ll serve as a point person between customers, service staff, and supervisors within our recreation facilities. Under the general guidance of the Recreation Center Manager, you will oversee daily operations and assist with marketing, administrative duties, and the implementation of goals and objectives. Leading a dedicated Guest Services team, you ll focus on delivering high-quality customer service while maintaining the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of programs

What You ll Do in This Role:

Oversee daily operations of the front desk, including training, scheduling, and managing cashier/receptionist staff. Coordinate group reservations, oversee customer-planned activities, and assist with administrative duties. Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals, policies, and procedures for recreation services. Deliver excellent customer service, respond promptly to customer inquiries, and resolve a variety of customer situations. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. Monitor expenditures and participate in budget preparation for assigned area. Assist with repairs and maintenance of Guest Services equipment and software issues. Serve as Manager on Duty on a rotational basis.

Requirements: Bachelor s degree in recreation, physical education, leisure studies, sociology, communications, or a related field, or relevant experience in recreation facilities and recreation programming. Valid Colorado driver s license. Knowledge of operations, services, and activities of municipal parks and recreation department. Knowledge of supervision, training, and performance evaluation. Intermediate skill-level and operation of Microsoft Office and recreation software.

Wage: $19.70 - $23.91 Hourly

Shift: Tuesday through Saturday, shift times vary.

Job Site: Durango, CO.
