Apprentice Plumber

A local company is looking for a dedicated apprentice plumber to assist with repairs and maintenance for residential projects. The responsibilities may include assembly, cleaning pipes, using machinery, and cleaning job sites.

To be a successful apprentice plumber you will need to be organized and detail-oriented. You should be well versed in customer service and willing to follow instructions.

Apprentice Plumber Responsibilities:

-Locating and repairing leaks. -Troubleshooting. -Determining which tools and equipment will be necessary to successfully complete a job. -Assisting the Plumber to warrant that all work is in accordance with plumbing codes. -Cleaning the job site after the work is completed. -Answering client queries. -Some water well servicing and repair.

Apprentice Plumber Requirements:

-A high school diploma or equivalent. -Vocational training preferred but not required. -Must have a valid driver's license and clean MVR. -Must be able to pass a background check. -Willingness to learn on the job. -Adept at using the basic tools. -Math skills for accurate measurements. -Strong listening skills. -Excellent communication and customer service skills. -Some excavation experience required.

Wage: Starting at $20/hr

Benefits: Accrued sick leave and optional medical benefits provided by Express Employment during probationary period. Possible full benefits once hired on with company.

Days and Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. Hours may vary. Possible on call.

Location: Durango, CO and surrounding area.
