Duties:
Responsible for complying with the food safety, food security, Quality, GMP's, HAACP, Allergen and Sensitizer as well as other regulations required.
Attend all operations and activities of cook tanks, RV filter and Plate & Frame filters.
Will be certified in the operations of all processing machinery in his or her area of responsibility.
Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the product run on lines based on specifications.
Responsible for duplicating and communicating all safety and good manufacturing practices in accordance with company policies as well as all other company policies.
Set up hoses and pumps to move juice from source (tanks, tankers, etc.) to cook tanks.
Assure designated lines are used and valves are in correct position, lines, pump, connection have no leaks.
Pump product through heater, control temperature to a set specific point.
Pump product (juice) to specific cook tank at set level.
Add specific amount of materials to cook tanks, rice hulls, paper and enzyme.
Document level, temp, ingredients involving each and every cook tank prepared.
Must coordinate and control movement of product to cook tanks to filter, de-juicer and/or decanters.
Must be able to operate both decanters at the same time as overseeing cook tanks.
Able to start up, shut down and CIP filters, and document all procedures.
Able to make proper cold room transfer connections.
Detect equipment problems and report them immediately to supervisor and maintenance.
Have working knowledge of equipment in department, filter, pasteurizer and concentrator.
Operate a forklift as needed.
Must be able to work well with Supervision and all Associates as a team.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures and safety requirements as defined.
Qualifications:
Able to read, write and speak English.
Excellent interpersonal skills, team player and an attitude to excel are a must.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to operate machinery.
Must possess mechanical ability.
Computer literate with MS Office.
The associate must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
