Position Data:
Title: Building Clerk
Grade: E5 Exempt Non-ExemptX
Reports to: Center Director/Center Director 2
Basic Function or Position Summary:
Provides customer service for families, clerical support and child care duties at assigned.Hours per week 35: Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm. Salary $15.89/hourly
Security Clearance:Lv. 2 V, A, R
Requirements
Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties:
? Creates schedules for building needs including maintaining OCFS ratios.
? Works on-call to accept notices from center employees for unplanned absences for purposes of scheduling.
? Provide care and supervision of children on a regular basis, covering for classroom staff breaks and absences.
? Maintains effective office procedures such as, bulletin board upkeep, purchase orders, receiving reports, print requests, postage services, petty cash, filing, and scheduling of meeting rooms.
? Prepares/assists with documentation such as statistical reports, calendars, survey responses, program/procedure manuals.
? Responsible for maintenance of staff list, mailboxes, and sign in/out sheets.
? Responsible for handling mail, faxes, answering telephones, and dissemination messages in a timely manner.
? Assists with preparation (and distribution as applicable) of forms, letters, notices, and agenda minutes as designated.
? Assists with training staff/volunteers in use of office equipment including computers
? Prepares purchase orders, receiving reports and assists with ordering supplies.
? Assists building staff with projects as designated, such as, applicable packets, interview packets, enrollment, health packets, and volunteer packets.
? Prepares tech and building and grounds work orders for building.
? Participates in conducting emergency drills; maintains updated post event drill records and submits to Quality Assurance Monitor and Center Director
? Adheres to current security restrictions and maintains documentation at front desk
? Monitor early education classroom TLO Reports and submit to Center Director
? Participates in service enrollment and recruitment strategies.
? Administer medication as needed to children.
? Promotes agency mission.
? Maintains confidentiality and complies with the code of ethics.
? Maintains consistent professional customer service.
? Job performance incorporates integrated service delivery model while promoting self-sufficiency.
? Other duties as designated by supervisor.

A. Internal: Division staff, IT, Building & Grounds staff, and Volunteers
B. External: Parents, Community Partners and Transportation Providers

Knowledge, Skills Required:
? High School Diploma or GED.
? Customer service and office experience preferred.
? Child care experience preferred.
? Excellent computer skills.
? Excellent organizational skills.
? Excellent communication/interpersonal skills (written and verbal) .
? Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
? Good team work skills.
Physical:
- ? Ability to lift up to and including 25-50 pounds of physical effort
Special Requirements:
? Meets OCFS training requirements and maintains training log.
? Ability to obtain and maintain NYS Medication Administration Training Certification.
Must be able to provide consistent even tempered customer service at all times
? Completes all required NYS background clearances
? Pre-employment physical exams and TB Testing
