The State Highway Administration's (SHA)

District 6 (Allegany, Garrett, and Washington County)is currently recruiting for a

Traffic Team Leader (Transportation Engineering Manager I)position. This position is

open to anyone who meets the minimum

Nature of Work:This position will manage and supervise of a team of traffic engineers, consultants, and technicians to investigate, implement, review, or coordinate all traffic control enhancements along state highways in District 6 (Allegany, Garrett and Washington Counties); this includes major construction projects, utility work, maintenance projects, planning, and design projects. The Traffic Team Leader will coordinate with all offices within the district and various SHA offices across the state, including Office of Preliminary Planning and Engineering, Office of Highway Development, Office of Structures, Office of Maintenance, Office of Environmental Design, Office of Traffic and Safety, other district offices, CHART, and administrative offices.

Interaction with local government and other external agencies is common with this position. This position works directly for the Assistant District Engineer - Traffic (ADE-T) and serves as a Division Chief in the ADE-Ts absence.
