ALLETE Internship - Human Resources - 5301 in Duluth, Minnesota

As a member of the Human Resources department, you will work closely with the Talent Solutions and the Learning and Organizational Development teams on a variety of projects and tasks for several of ALLETE's businesses. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the development and implementation of training and onboarding programs utilizing a variety of learning delivery methods (video, online, instructor led, etc.). Coordinate and assist with special events, trainings, activities, and projects related to talent solutions and organizational development programs. Perform a variety of talent solutions assignments including recruiting, hiring, and onboarding. Attend and participate in recruiting and networking activities, such as job and career fairs. Prepare, verify, and maintain human resource records and documents. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027. Preferred majors include Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development, Psychology, and Education. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Requires excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Candidates may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, or aptitude. DETAILS & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP: This position will report in person to Duluth, MN. This role is expected to begin in June 2025, however there may be an opportunity to begin prior to that if the candidate's academic schedule allows. This internship will be full-time during summer with the possibility of extending into the academic year on a part-time basis until graduation. ALLETE will comply with college requirements.
