About this Position: This part-time Custodial Laborer position is scheduled for three days a week from 4:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. It requires a vehicle to transport to multiple locations. SUMMARY/PURPOSE Perform a variety of routine cleaning and custodial maintenance duties in and around City facilities to provide a safe, attractive, clean, functional, and pleasant environment for workers and visitors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) Provide comprehensive cleaning services for City facilities. Clean, dust, sanitize, and in other manners maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in and around City facilities assigned. Maintain spaces and equipment in City facilities assigned in a safe, efficient, and attractive and welcome manner by performing simple custodial maintenance. Remove snow, ice, and other impediments and hazards to safe access to the City facilities assigned. Collect and recycle or dispose of unwanted materials. Move, transport, and arrange tables, chairs, office furniture, and other items to provide the required resources at the proper place and time. Ensure security and reduce environmental demands by locking and unlocking doors, turning off lights, closing windows, and similar. Perform maintenance painting and minor repair work as needed.
