The candidate must be prepared to teach one course in the spring semester and hold regularly scheduled office hours during the semester. Most courses in LSBE are delivered fully in person. APPLICATION REVIEW DATE: Review of complete applications will begin on November 19, 2024, and continue until the position is filled JOB DESCRIPTION: Part-Time, non-tenure-track, adjunct position in the Department of Management Studies at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level. The Department is seeking a candidate to fill an adjunct position that could teach both undergraduate and master-level classes. Being a member of the qualified pool does not ensure a teaching contract will be offered; course offerings, and therefore teaching appointments, will vary with demand and available funding. Qualifications Required/Essential: Applicants must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Management or a related area, from an accredited institution, or be ABD (with a minimum of two years of residency as a full-time doctoral student) in Management from an AACSB-International accredited institution or major internationally recognized university. If the applicant has a Master's degree and is not an ABD or PhD in Management/Operations, the applicant must have experience that demonstrates active involvement in Operations management since the time of the Master's degree completion. Applicants must meet conditions for one of the four 2020 AACSB faculty qualifications [Scholarly Academic (SA), Practice Academic (PA), Scholarly Practitioner (SP), or Instructional Practitioner (IP)] as defined by LSBE (see https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GbNhdtIcaSZdmaeTlW8DnjcnnFJ7Hlu9/view) Applicants must have experience in either training or public speaking within an organized setting or teaching at least one university-level course as instructor or teaching assistant. Preferred: Ph.D. from an AACSB-International accredited institution with a curricular emphasis in Operations Management or related field. College-level teaching experience. Demonstrate ability to teach elective courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level to a diverse group of students. Active engagement and involvement within the Operation management-related profession. About the Department The Labovitz School of Business and Economics (LSBE) is AACSB-International accredited and housed in a state-of-the-art building. Approximately 1,700 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled in the school's programs. There are 50+ full-time faculty members in four academic departments: Accounting and Finance, Economics and Health Care Management, Management Studies, and Marketing.
