What you will do

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The purpose of this job is to provide professional service as a competent entry level electrical engineer within a formal engineering process or a major project. This position performs routine and less complex engineering tasks supporting the mission of the department and/or Volvo GTO. Individual serves in a resource or support capacity for more complex assignments.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as an entry level engineer in an area(s) of assignment with limited responsibility

• Completing Order Specification with direction from supervisor and/or guidance from a technical leader.

• Assists in performing design, test/validation and/or development projects within area of assignment with guidance. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, accountability/ownership, adherence to formal internal and external standards, procedures and processes and accurate acceptable documentation and report writing.

• Utilizes CAD systems to complete packaging and analytical studies.

• Assures compliance with all applicable vehicle regulations (FMVSS, FMCSR, EPA, CARB, GHG, etc.) relating to his/her area of responsibility with direction from supervisor and/or guidance from technical leader.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The minimum education and experience requirements can be met through any one of the pathways described in the charts below. Please note: In order to meet the minimum requirements, each item listed within the pathway chart must be met.

Education 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
