We are seeking a Entry Level Lab Technician to join our team in a Food Science Laboratory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Microbiology and Chemistry laboratories. An ideal candidate will have an Associate or Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Etc. and long term interest in a Food Science Lab. Also can be nondegreed with food experience (fast food, restaurant, etc.) and good job tenure.

This opportunity is on a first shift Tuesday through Saturday!

Job Description:

• This role is primarily spent with intake and logging. This includes scanning in and getting test samples “logged” into the computer systems through data entry and administrative functions, as well as ensuring accuracy in labels.

• A smaller percent of time will be spent in the “compositing” side of sample preparation operations. This includes doing basic sample blending, mixing, vialing duties.

• Responsible for successfully delivering customer analysis requests via detail orientation and highly developed data entry skills.

• The role interprets and inputs both routine and complicated customer analytical service requests - using operating procedures, standard laboratory methods, computer workstation/software, and highly developed logical reasoning skills.

• Will be doing both Chemistry and Microbiology labs.
