As a Principal UX Designer at Cornerstone, you will drive the creation of intuitive and impactful user experiences across our product ecosystem, with a special focus on integrating Generative AI into our user experiences. You will lead cross-functional design initiatives, create cutting-edge solutions, and ensure our products meet the needs of users in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Role is based in Dublin, CA hybrid

In this role you will...

• Gen AI Innovation : Conceptualize and implement UX solutions that incorporate Gen AI , such as personalized recommendations, conversational UI, and automated content generation.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and AI engineers to align design strategies with business goals and user needs, focusing on AI-driven features.

• User-Centered Design : Lead research and design efforts to ensure user feedback is integrated into the development process, advocating for users' needs while considering the potential of AI enhancements.

• Design Leadership : Lead design initiatives across multiple products, setting the vision for seamless UX experiences enhanced by Generative AI technologies .

• Prototyping & Testing : Create high-fidelity prototypes and design concepts that incorporate AI-powered features, ensuring usability and effectiveness through iterative testing.

• Data-Driven Design : Leverage data from AI models and user behavior analytics to inform design decisions and drive continuous product improvement.

• Mentorship : Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the UX team.

• AI & UX Trends : Stay updated with the latest trends in Generative AI , machine learning , and UX design , ensuring that Cornerstone's products are at the forefront of innovation.

You’ve got what it takes if you have...

• Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in UX design with a strong focus on digital products, and working on Generative AI-infused experiences or Generative AI

• An outstanding portfolio, showcasing a foundation in Typography, Interaction, Visual Design, Design Strategy and Ideation with special focus on AI infused experiences.

• AI Integration : Proven experience designing user experiences that leverage AI models , such as NLP , machine learning , or AI-generated content .

• Leadership Skills : Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams and mentor designers, by fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

• Design Thinking : Expertise in design thinking and user-centered design processes, with the ability to translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive user interfaces.

• Collaboration : Strong experience collaborating with product managers, marketing, quality, and technical teams (data scientists and engineers) to ensure the practical implementation of AI in UX, to develop the strategy, from discovery to delivery within the product life cycle.

• Prototyping Tools : Proficiency in Figma , Sketch , and other design tools, with a focus on interactive and AI-enhanced prototypes .

• Analytical Mindset : Ability to use user data and AI model outputs to refine designs, ensuring products meet both user needs and technical feasibility.

• Communication : Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex design solutions to a variety of stakeholders.

• Design: Experience working and collaborating with global design team members such as user researchers, content writers, accessibility and product designers.

An extra dose of awesome if…

• Degree in Design or related field

• Background in Learning, Talent Management space

• Familiarity with AI ethics and responsible design practices related to Generative AI .

• Experience in designing conversational interfaces or AI-assisted learning platforms.

• Advanced knowledge of AI tools as related to UX design
