Clearfield County Domestic Relations Section Enforcement Officer in Du Bois, Pennsylvania

The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. Resolves issues of paternity, support and custody via interviews, research and hearings.  Responds to inquiries of clients, families, financial institutions, attorneys and judges.

Monitors and prioritizes caseload.  Approves cases to be scheduled for enforcement court.

Performs all locate functions as necessary to insure court ordered compliance by clients.

Computes and issues income withholding orders to comply with court orders.  Designates distribution of payments on hold. 

Prepares contempt hearing documents and summary reports.  Handles petitions on cases for modifications of support.  Offers recommendations to court regarding sentencing.  

Maintains monthly statistical report of enforcement actions.

Schedules and conducts enforcement hearings.  Assists in transporting prisoners to and from court hearings. 

Apprehends and arrests individuals as directed and authorized by court.

 

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

While the following tasks are necessary for the work of the unit, they are not an essential part of the purpose of this position and may also be performed by other unit members.

Performs related duties as directed.

 

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Criminology, or closely related field; supplemented by up to one (1) year previous experience and/or training in PACSES; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to attend and obtain Basic Certification in Oleoresin Capsicum Training. Ability to attend and pass Act 235 Training and Self Defense Training.
