Ascensus Sr Graphic Designer, Marketing in Dresher, Pennsylvania

This position is instrumental in visualizing the company story and advancing the mission of helping individuals save for the most important things in life—retirement, education, and healthcare. The successful candidate applies advanced critical and creative thinking skills to compose compelling and meaningful visual, copy, and interactive elements—considering both form and function—across all mediums. The Senior Graphic Designer is an advocate for exceptional design and creates solutions that translate complex financial concepts and multi-faceted marketing initiatives into simple, elegant, and practical client experiences.

The position works on a team alongside traditional and UX designers, writers, project managers, and marketing strategists.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Under the direction and supervision of the Design Director, drive design strategy and execution for the assigned line of business.

  • Lead and sometimes supervise the creation of a range of touch points, including promotional and operational, across mediums (e.g., advertisements, print materials, presentations, informational graphics, user interfaces, videos, and templates).

  • Produce concepts for high profile campaigns, brands, and products, often requiring discovery and investigation.

  • Apply influencing and presentation skills to secure buy-in for design concepts.Follow and enhance brand standards.

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, marketing team members, and vendors, acting as the subject matter expert for the design discipline.

  • Collaborate with external agency partners, freelancers, and contractors, managing relationships and providing project guidance and brand governance.

  • Manage multiple projects with the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Review work of other designers and provide meaningful and constructive feedback.

  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Supervision

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Visionary with demonstrated ability to translate ideas into powerful and effective visuals designed to support goals and influence outcomes

  • An eye for modern design and flexible creativity

  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and follow-through skills

  • Strong attention to detail related to material accuracy, version control, design element consistency, and brand standards

  • Highly proficient in the use of design software (Adobe Creative Suite)

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)

  • Experience using video editing and digital prototyping software a major plus

  • Knowledgeable about web and UX best practices

  • Understanding of HTML/CSS and emerging tools, technologies, and business practices

  • Exceptional collaboration skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills; Able to switch between tasks across projects.

  • Able to give and receive feedback and interpret critique to enhance project outcomes.

  • Four-year college degree in a creative field

  • Minimum of six years of related experience

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a high degree of creativity and experience designing thoughtful and innovative solutions across mediums.
