Army National Guard Units Supply Technician (TEMP) (Title 5) in Draper, Utah

Summary This National Guard position is for a Supply Technician (TEMP) (Title 5), Position Description Number T5278000 and is part of the USPFO located in Draper UT, with the Utah Army National Guard. Responsibilities Major Duties: This is not an all-inclusive list As a Supply Technician (TEMP) (Title 5), GS-2005-7, you will: Analyzes possible redistribution of equipment through transfer, loan or assignment. Reviews and processes external as well as internal loans/leases that may impact readiness or mission requirements. Processes and accounts for through agency coordination the in coming and outgoing federal property assignment. Processes and tracks equipment changes in Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) or Table of Distribution and Allowance (TDA). Process electronic requests for TDA and MTOE changes through NGB to DA to achieve the actual Letter of Authorization (LOA). Monitors and maintains tracking and accountability of all Rapid Fielding Initiatives within the state or unit of assignment. Performs extensive fact finding, investigating and recommends corrective action to resolve problems. Manages receipt documents for the Total Package Fielding, Rapid Fielding Initiative and Special Procured federal property from any source. Works with units assigned in dealing with distribution and redistribution of Equipment and Assets. Redistributes Equipment intra and inter state. Performs Quarterly Equipment on hand analysis by unit identification code (UIC) to improve equipment accountability to ensure all UIC units are validated on. Coordinates all activities for Property Book officers when there is a UIC that is located in multiple states. Initiates and recommends unit visits for performance of reconciliations. Assists with and monitors posting as the result of unit reconciliations (Annual, change of PBO or change of Command). Provides expertise, recommendations and training directly to Property Book Officers, Supply Personnel or Unit Personnel for property accountability procedures. Resolves inventory problems and where items may be lost or damaged and is must be able to use judgment as applicable regulations may be ambiguous. Reviews, validates and establishes accountability for mobilizing units and organizations. Performs inventories, site visits and coordination with the state mobilization office to insure accountability and proper property books are established for deploying activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. Must obtain the appropriate security clearance within one year of appointment. Must Maintain an appropriate security clearance. This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program. The incumbent of this position description must have, at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment. Irregular and overtime hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle and if so, an appropriate valid driver's license is required. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG. Qualifications Your resume must reflect in detail how the duties and responsibilities under each position you have held with each employer meets the below listed general and specialized experience required for the position. *Must include beginning and ending dates of employment stated as MM/YYYY; and total hours worked per week in order to determine part time vs. full time credit. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Have 1 year as a GS-2005-07 or 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level. OR have at least 12 months experience of a wide range of supply systems, regulations and established techniques to maintain and account for federal assets. Knowledge and skill in performing analysis, interaction and providing recommendations based on the systems and personnel that become involved in the process. Knowledge of supply operations and skill in applying the principles and practices of supply management, material storage, inventory, and excess property management to provide technical assistance and instruction to customers. Knowledge to conduct extensive and exhaustive research for required information to reconstruct records to evaluate complex supply transactions. Detailed working knowledge of the UIC organizational procedures, systems and practices. Knowledge of the regulatory requirements and the unit level to be able to address these same issues at the Supply Support Activity level. (MTOE, TDA, BOIP, CIF-ISM, SAS-MOD, SAARS, GPC, GFEBS and GCSS) and to coordinate, facilitate or cooperate with various agencies at state, local or federal level (NGB, DA, DOD, LOGSA etc). Knowledge and ability to do general analytical tasks, establish recommended actions, correspond verbally or through written reports and do this at multiple levels throughout the state or to other governmental agencies. Detailed and practical knowledge of the goals, objectives, work methods and functions of automated logistics programs and systems to provide assistance in the interfaces between various STAMIS.
