Senior Node Engineer

What we’re looking for

A person with a track record of high-quality design and web platform implementations. A deep understanding of the MERN stack. Helpful to have knowledge of RabbitMQ, and Elasticsearch. Someone who can effectively communicate with local and remote workers where English is a second language. Someone who believes that great products begin with a phenomenal company culture and an idea, are developed by careful planning and hard work - and are then brought to market with enthusiasm and pride.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a software development role

  • 3+ years of experience with the MERN stack

  • Skilled at designing and implementing sophisticated server-side APIs and business logic.

  • Experience in the following technologies

  • Node.JS

  • Typescript

  • MongoDB

  • Elasticsearch

  • Postgres

  • RabbitMQ

  • Oauth2.0 (OpenID Connect)

  • The ability to rapidly consume and understand a large existing codebase.

  • Someone who can effectively communicate with peers, customers, and stakeholders.

Other Beneficial skills

  • Docker

  • Kubernetes

  • Ansible

  • MQTT

  • Mosquitto

  • Proficiency in stripe, twilio, slack and mailgun APIs

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering a related field or equivalent experience.
