Requirements

• Must know how to estimate & manage residential and commercial jobs
• Must have a drivers license with a clean driving record
• Have at least 2 years experience as a landscape maintenance manager

Manager Schedule

April-November:  the typical work week is Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

December-March:  on-call for plowing when it snows and work in the office as needed

Job Overview

• Meet with new & existing clients 
• Estimate new jobs, measure for materials, design small landscape enhancement jobs
• Materials sourcing, purchasing, & scheduling
• Manage properties & schedule the appropriate services when they are needed 
• Manage equipment & vehicles - schedule maintenance services
• Create efficient weekly crew schedules
• Supervise the supervisors & crews 
• Monitor job budgets
• *Bonus if you have your applicators license and are willing to spray jobs once in a while 

Daily Duties

• Help supervisors perform their morning duties

• • Arrive at shop at 6:30 a.m., help supervisors prepare machines & tools that the crews will need for the day
  • Meet crews at 7:00 a.m., help them load everything they will need for the day

• Collect & turn in daily work sheets and time sheets

• Check on jobs, schedule services that are needed

• Make sure that supervisors are checking the machines, trucks, & trailers for needed repairs
• Schedule repairs with mechanic
• Schedule maintenance on equipment (sharpen blades, filters, oil change, minor repairs, etc.)
• Make sure crews have the tools & materials that they need (oil, trimmer line, etc.)
• Make sure that the shop stays organized & clean

• Remove snow from your assigned properties & assist other drivers with their routes
• Manage & direct sidewalk crews 
• Patrol job sites for quality control
