What does a Fleet Mechanic do at Swire Coca-Cola?

As a Fleet Technician, you are responsible for the maintenance and repair of our Fork Lifts (electric MHE), Pallet Jacks (electric MHE), Medium and Heavy fleet equipment. In this role you will perform inspections, manage repairs, and will troubleshoot problems that arise with the fleet. You play a key role in ensuring that our fleet equipment is running smoothly and help us get our trucks back on the road so we can deliver to our customers in a safe and timely manner

Responsibilities include: * Maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements. * Maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements. * Determine equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts. * Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures. * Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, electrical propulsion, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics * Completes machine shop operations; adjusting and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units. * Must be able to work Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and overtime on a regular basis.

Requirements: * High school diploma or GED equivalent required * Excellent troubleshooting skills * Experience in diagnostic, maintenance and repair of MHE, diesel trucks and trailers * Electrical/Mechanical troubleshooting experience. Use of a DVOM and Laptops diagnostic equipment * Welding/Fabrication * Learn new repair guidelines quickly * Trade School is considered a plus * Able to obtain a Class A CDL * Must be able to furnish own tools * Must be able to obtain Local Safety and Emission licenses within 6 months of hire date
