We have an immediate need for a Quality Inspectorwho enjoys hands-on work and has great attention to detail. We are willing to train someone with the right skillset and interest in learning an Inspector/Quality Inspection job.

Dontech is an AS9100D / ISO9001:2015 Certified manufacturer specializing in optical coatings and fabrication of optical filters and LCD enhancement services. What you'll do: work with a team and/or individually to inspect materials (mainly glass or polycarbonate), parts in process, and finished parts - sometimes components, sometimes entire products. We are willing to train those with certain skills and interest to successfully perform the following Essential Functions of the position: Conduct detailed visual inspection to determine quality of product utilizing various product quality specifications. Inspect parts and materials for flaws and dimensions of critical characteristics using eyepiece and scope. Support the production process in the final inspection of product prior to shipping. Complete manufacturing tasks in compliance with work instructions. Verify specifications by measuring completed components. Review specification for additional information for preparation of product for customer. Inspect first completed pieces (first articles) that are submitted to Quality to be checked for accuracy before proceeding. Inspect finished jobs that are submitted to Quality. Use internal product routing / traveler system. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions: High School/Technical School/GED or equivalent work experience, as applicable; Previous experience in quality and/or inspection experience, ideally with optics or optical components; Prefer experience with MIL-PRF-13830 inspection; Military and medical electronics manufacturing experience preferred; Mechanically inclined; Prefer experience handling and inspecting glass parts; Comfortable working in a clean room environment required; Proper handling of various chemicals for cleaning of parts; High attention to detail is critical; Ability to read and accurately comprehend work orders and procedures for each job (in English); Ability to follow directions, work independently, and follow through on tasks to completion; Reliable, on-site attendance; Willing to learn and be cross-trained; Ability to be flexible in daily duties; Proficiency in communication skills (verbal and written, in English); Willing and available to work agreed upon PT or FT schedule Monday - Friday) Willing and available to work overtime when requested to meet task deadlines; Citizenship requirements in compliance with ITAR (US Citizen, US National, lawful US Permanent Resident, or lawful refugee or asylee of the US); Minimum 18 years of age. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is: Regularly required to communicate, verbally (in person or over the phone) and in writing. Frequen ly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, hold or reach. Ability to lift up to 2 lbs. frequently from table height to shoulder height. Ability to lift up to 12 lbs. regularly from table height to shoulder height. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. occasionally (may be done with the assistance of another employee). Considerable mental and visual effort. Color vision correctable to 20/20 (candidates cannot be color blind). Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and electrical shock. Required to wear appropriate safety equipment as needed, including but not limited to protective eyewear, paper half face masks, and latex/non-latex gloves. Seldom working in an area where the noise level is above normal. Must be odor tolerant of cleaning agents (e.g., acetone, rubbing alcohol).
Candidates best suited for this role are hands-on, mechanically inclined, methodical, focused, detail-oriented, and production-minded. We are willing to train someone with prior applicable skills who also shows a willingness to learn. Following initial training, we can offer choice of Full Time or Part Time schedules between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday - Friday.
