Position Overview: As the Head Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining the financial health of our dealership. This position requires a strong background in automotive accounting, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: * Manage all aspects of dealership bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. * Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. * Prepare and review financial statements and reports for management. * Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. * Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, sales, and related financial transactions. * Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial strategies and policies. * Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions. * Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support. Qualifications: * Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience in the automotive industry. * Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds DMS Service * Strong understanding of automotive dealership accounting practices and procedures. * Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word). * Excellent organizational and time-management skills. * Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. * Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
