Purpose

Are you ready to be the face of Liberty and provide outstanding service to our customers? As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer support by handling high-volume inbound calls, resolving inquiries, processing payments, and addressing service requests. This role will support our Water Operations in Downey and Apple Valley, CA, as well as our Electric Operations in Lake Tahoe, CA. Accountabilities

  • Manage high-volume inbound calls, efficiently addressing customer inquiries and resolving concerns related to billing, service requests, and account issues

  • Process payments, credit card transactions, and applications for new utility service, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Generate and manage service orders, providing customers with updates on service requests

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions, ensuring a high level of attention to detail

  • Handle routine cash drawer management and balance transactions at the end of each day

  • Support both water and electric operations by addressing region-specific customer queries and service needs

  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership to support overall team objectives

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 3+ years of experience in a call center or high-volume customer service environment

  • Ability to manage a large volume of calls with professionalism, patience, and efficiency

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with a diverse customer base

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus

  • Previous cash handling experience is a plus, demonstrating your attention to detail

  • Empathy, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude to help create an exceptional customer service experience

  • Valid state driver's license

Compensation

Expected pay: $16.78 - $20.00 per hour

Full salary range: $16.78 - $25.17 per hour

*Liberty considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, training and skills, and geographic location. Base pay for this role is expected to fall within the min to mid-point.
