Job Title: BIM DesignerJob Description

This is an 8-week contract position located at Chase Tower in downtown Chicago (The Loop). The project requires on-site presence for the entirety of the project. The project involves a 5-story build-out at Chase Tower, requiring electrical modeling of lighting and conduits for cubicle walls, lighting fixtures, meeting rooms, and access points. The individual will be expected to communicate and coordinate with Project Managers on site.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical modeling of lighting and conduits for cubicle walls, lighting fixtures, meeting rooms, and access points.

• Communicate and coordinate with Project Managers on site.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of BIM designs.

• Work independently to meet project deadlines.

Essential Skills

• Experience in electrical system design.

• Proficiency in BIM.

• Experience modeling electrical systems.

• Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, and other relevant software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field.

• 1-10 years of applicable experience.

• Experience working at an electrical construction company.

Work Environment

This position supports a tenant build-out project and requires on-site presence at The Chase Tower. The work hours are from 6:00am to 2:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. The company provides a wide range of commercial electrical construction, maintenance, repair, and retrofit services within the Chicago metropolitan area. The BIM team consists of five people. The company has extensive experience in commercial, light industrial, data center, hospital, and high-rise projects, with a focus on the data center space for 2024.
