Job Description

We are looking to add Pallet Repair workers to our team. The Pallet Repair position is responsible for repairing customer pallets to meet production and quality standards. This involves reworking damaged or returned pallets to ensure they are in good condition.

Responsibilities

• Complete up to 2 weeks of training to become proficient in pallet repair.

• Use provided tools to remove broken parts and replace them with quality recycled or new parts.

• Safely operate a rip hammer and pneumatic nail gun, following all safety rules and lockout/tagout procedures.

• Remove or repair any protruding nails on the exterior of pallets.

• Accurately record the number of pallets repaired during each shift.

• Perform physical duties such as sorting, stacking, and cleaning as assigned.

• Adhere to all OSHA safety standards.

• Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

• Report all injuries and mechanical defects, regardless of severity, to a supervisor immediately.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction, carpentry, or roofing.

• Previous experience with pneumatic nail guns.

• Ability to safely operate a rip hammer and pneumatic nail gun.

• Ability to read a measuring tape.

• Ability to lift 30+ pounds as needed.

• Experience with hand tools and power tools.

Work Environment

The work environment is loud and requires the use of ear plugs. It can be cold and somewhat dirty, and it is not temperature controlled. First shift hours are from 7am to 3:45pm Monday through Thursday, and 7am to 2:30pm on Friday. Second shift hours are from 4pm to 12:45am Monday through Thursday, and 7am to 2:30pm on Friday.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00
