Join our team as a Party Chief, where you'll lead surveying operations with state-of-the-art technology. We are seeking a motivated individual with expertise in one-man field operations using robotic total stations and RTK GPS. Projects typically involve mapping and property work to include the integration of drone-based aerial along with some construction stakeout.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform precise surveying for land development, boundary, and topographic projects

  • Ability to plan and perform field activities based on a specific scope

  • Maintain and operate surveying instruments, including robotic total stations and GPS

  • Collect and analyze field data; understand accuracy requirements

  • Upload and process data for use in AutoCAD or other aerial processing software

  • Ensure safety and accuracy in all field operations

  • Ability to train others and take direction

  • Daily record-keeping including both survey and administrative

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred

  • 4+ years of experience as a Party Chief in land surveying

  • Proficiency with robotic total stations, RTK GPS, and data collectors

  • Familiarity with CAD or GIS software is a plus

  • Part 107 Drone Pilots License a plus

  • Ability to work independently or with a team

  • Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, and construction surveys

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and transfer data

  • Must be able to adapt to new industry technologies as they arise

  • Must be able to work in an outdoor environment. Outdoor environment subject to uneven terrain, dirt, varying temperatures, weather conditions, and noise

  • Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without an accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances

  • Occasional overnight travel required

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance is a plus

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check
