ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a potential Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a talented team of professionals in support of a client in Dover, Delaware. This potential role will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating software development and system modernization activities in a state-wide implementation effort. SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide project support and oversight of State government software development efforts.

  • Monitor Scrum teams to ensure software development projects are executed properly.

  • Provide oversight of software development activities related to enhancements and maintenance of enterprise software and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations related to the project and findings to client leadership.

  • Provide insight on key Agile Discovery, Sprint, and Release activities.

  • Monitor projects for risks and issues and report those to the client.

  • Support and contribute to written weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports.

  • Apply advanced thinking to problems with encouragement and support.

  • Proactively conduct research into identified and potential client problems.

  • Conduct deep review of vendor deliverables for the assigned functional scope area for completeness and correctness.

  • Conduct risk assessments to help the client resolve technical issues and/or discrepancies with existing policies and procedures.

  • Engage in team’s strategic discussions.

  • Support the client and stakeholders in achieving project success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area. A minimum of eight (8) years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum eight (8) years of IV&V experience for state government/public sector.

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a large and complex software development environment.

  • Minimum three (3) years working in an Agile SDLC environment (Scrum, Kanban, Lean Software Development, etc.)

  • Experience with Payroll/Human Capital Management (PHCM) and Financial Management System (FMS) projects.

  • Experience with enterprise software transformation, modernization, including migrations and integrations.

  • Familiar with identifying and applying Information Technologies industry standards and best practices.

  • Ability to work and meet deadlines independently as well as part of the team.

  • Strong people and presentation skills

  • Have strong written and oral presentation skills and be able to present ideas in a simple way.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with hands on software development and/or testing.

  • Experience with all phases of the IT Disaster Management Cycle.

  • Familiar with challenges associated with Cloud environments, governance, and compliance.

  • PMP Certification.

Compensation / Salary Range: Greentree adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc.

Salary Range: $125,000 to $150,000

Bonuses: Greentree has an employee referral bonus, as well as employee bonuses based on employee contributions and Greentree’s yearly performance.
