This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Who We Are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Knowledge Management Lead and Technologists in Doral, FL to design, development, and perform maintenance of USSOUTHCOM's domains, including their SharePoint sites and solutions.

This position is in support of US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) operations, planning, engagements, and security cooperation in its assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR), which currently includes Central America, South America, and the Caribbean Sea.

One of six US geographic combatant commands, USSOUTHCOM deters aggression, defeats threats, rapidly responds to crises, and builds regional capacity by working with partner nations and mission partners to enhance security and defend the US homeland and national interests. USSOUTHCOM is responsible for providing contingency planning, operations, and security cooperation in its AOR to understand and counter threats from transnational criminal organizations, violent extremist organizations, and malign regional and external state actors.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of USSOUTHCOM's domains, including their SharePoint sites and solutions.

  • Partners with the Sr. Knowledge Management Strategy Lead to assess, recommend, and implement knowledge management plans/programs/activities that improve the maturity of the Command's enabling technologies.

  • Conducts Command KM Assessment efforts by generating routine reports covering staff element progress towards target metrics and continually assess and improve content and site structures based on user needs and business changes.

  • Advises Command Leadership on the best use of tools and technology to facilitate situational awareness, decision-making, and missing exaction through effective creation, organization, application, sharing, collaborating, retrieval, and transfer of corporate knowledge.

  • Serves as a resource to the EKMWG.

  • Responsible for KM Operations and Production, creates advancements, white papers, and tools. Assists the Senior Knowledge Management Technical Lead with the day-to-day management of the Commands domains, to include their SharePoint solutions.

  • Provides direct support/training to Command personnel and staff with their SharePoint sites and libraries.

  • Identifies areas for improvement and helps Command staff implement solutions to meet business/mission requirements.

  • Responsible for user access managing user permissions to ensure secure access to content, complying with data security and access policies.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

  • Experience with SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365 Knowledge of basic SharePoint tools such as ULS Logs, workflows to automate business processes, and SharePoint forms for tasks.

  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • 10+ years with a Master’s degree for Lead level responsibility.
