Clean Harbors Site Support Technician in Dolton, Illinois

The Site Support Technician will support issues and requests escalated directly by end-users, IT personnel, and monitoring tools. This role will have broad exposure across a range of end-user devices, networks, servers, industrial, and security platforms. The Site Support Technician will be expected to work on issues independently, and when needed, with the assistance of senior subject matter experts across IT. They will take ownership of assessing site systems and keeping them properly maintained. They will collaborate with other teams when systems are outside of their area of expertise. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with an ability to learn quickly and provide exceptional customer service.

Support end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, network, and application issues
Provide excellent customer service, communicate clearly and professionally in stressful situations
Continually assess technology at each site and develop a plan for proactive maintenance
Collaborate with IT Teams across the organization to escalate issues and to share knowledge
Proactively communicate support schedules and projects to site management
Oversee on site IT vendor work on support issues and projects
Triage tickets by specified priority levels to ensure we are providing timely solutions
Responsible for keeping accurate IT asset records in Service Now to track the lifecycle of computers and other equipment
Assist the Operational Technology Team on supporting industrial systems
Document operational procedures to be used by Field Technology team, Help Desk team, and end users
Provide weekly status reports on support activity and projects to your manager
Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Onsite Requirements:
Must be onsite every day
Must have reliable transportation to and from the office
Must be able to travel up to 25% of time
Education and Training
High school diploma required; college degree preferred
Relevant entry-level certifications
Familiarity with Industrial systems is a plus
Experience
3 -5 years in a technical support role
Experience providing customer support
Experience with IT Service Management and IT Asset Management
Skills
Highly analytical thinker and troubleshooter
Detail oriented with excellent documentation and communication skills
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Exercises sound logic and judgment setting work priorities
Self-motivated, enthusiastic about technology, with the desire to learn new things
Foundational understanding of operating systems and servers, both physical and virtual Experience working with active directory to perform basic tasks
